American History and Civics Education National Activities Grant, Revolutionary Ideals: Understanding 250 Years of American Principles

  • Professional development cohort opportunity for 120 teachers in eight states to learn how to implement National History Day in their classrooms.
  • Virtual webinar series for 240 teachers nationwide to study the founding era and the ideals that shaped America’s 250-year history.

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (2018-2019, 2024-present)

Veterans Legacy Grant Program, Silent Heroes: Untold Stories of the U.S. Marine Corps in World War II (2025-2026)

  • Engaging 56 educators and 600+ students to tell the story of 110 U.S. Marine Corps Veterans who served during World War II

  • Live institute for 18 teachers to travel to Europe and Hawaiʻi.

Library of Congress Teaching with Primary Sources Program (2019-present)

  • Researching Silent Heroes Contract (2024-2029)
    • Virtual programming for 60 teachers annually to research Silent Heroes.
    • Updating and refining educational materials created in the previous contract.

  • Understand Sacrifice (2015-2020)
    • Live institute for 45 teachers to travel to Europe and 18 teachers to travel to the Pacific to visit U.S. military cemeteries abroad.
    • Developed 60 lesson plans and 65 Silent Hero profiles

Private Foundation Contracts

Bezos Family Foundation (2023-present)

  • Piloted an intensive teacher professional development program targeting urban and rural teachers in Alabama, Indiana, North Carolina, and Oklahoma
  • Reached over 60 teachers and 1,200 students between 2023-2025
  • Launched the second program for teacher professional development California, Louisiana, Michigan, and Tennessee in September 2025

Dr. Scholl Foundation (2023-2024)

  • Led a Revolutionary Ideals webinar series in spring 2024, reaching over 70 educators.

Summer Institutes

Coordinate and lead summer institutes in both the U.S. (California, Colorado, Hawaiʻi, Rhode Island, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.) and abroad (Belgium, France, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Italy, Luxembourg, Switzerland, and the Philippines) for over 350 teachers and 250 students since 2013.
